The Meerkats was a powerful group founded by DezzDox July 5th, 2019. As it quickly became established it would cement itself as possibly the most prevalent PvP group of early Oldfag history. Besides spawnfagging and fighting, the founder DezzDox created the largest shop of Oldfag and largest Oldfag discord server besides the community one established by MrDirtti, and the Meerkats were a leading participant of the September Spawn Crusade.
The group was resurrected May 7, 2020 by DezzDox and Cacti. It took quantity over quality and consisted of huge numbers of newfags hastily recruited into scantily clad bases, bases usually dying swiftly and only using their numbers to PVP. This formula lasted a few months before the group disbanded again.

The Beginning: July 2019[edit | edit source]
The Meerkats began as a group! A very powerful gold farm was built at the Meerkat base that was founded a month prior. The gold farm brought the group many riches and established them on the server, much more was to come however.
The Rise of The Meerkats: August 2019[edit | edit source]
Now being an established group on the server, many flocked to join them. Spog was taken on as a mark of the Meerkats and a player by the name fie_nd betrayed the Samarians for a chance to become a member of the Meerkats. This was infact a mistake on the Meerkats part as fie_nd later on sold out his brethren, leaking the coords of the Meerkat base in the process. On the bright side, the Meerkats had gotten the seed, as TAEFED, a seed cracker in the Samarians, had gave it to fie_nd. More on fie_nd in the next chapter.
The Inside: September 2019[edit | edit source]
The first half of the month was great for the group, many powerful players like Kokichi, Sirsting and Retttt joined the Meerkats, aswell, they were key players in the September Spawn Crusade, but nobody was ready for what was to come next. On the 15th of September, fie_nd admitted that he insided the Meerkats and leaked the coords to the Meerkat base. Within an hour the most powerful group on the server was brought to its knees as their powerhouse of a base crumbled infront of them. Temporarily immobilized the group rushed to start a new base and start their recovery process. Later that month, they would grief the Chunk Error Outpost, after being leaked by Inzoide. In a skirmish between 3 Meerkats (including Xormios and 864) and 2 CEO members (including Lavacaust and StormTroopers), the CEO members would gain the upper hand, until backup came and they had to retreat.
Post September[edit | edit source]
After September, the Meerkats had gotten significantly less active. Its shop and its dominance over spawn had waned, and its discord became quiet. The vast majority of members had become inactive on Oldfag. Only Xormios was consistently active, with DezzDox and 864 occasionally coming on. By November, Xormios had joined Spectrum.
The Osiris[edit | edit source]
DezzDox would go on to found a new group, The Osiris, in late November, ending the Meerkats as a name, along with new and different alliances. The group would disband in mid December. DezzDox stayed active afterwards, running his shop and basing with Dainert and Cacti.
Ressurection[edit | edit source]
The Meerkats would come back on May 7 2020 with Dezz and Cacti. They would start pvping at spawn and would become relevant again for backdooring the server and leaking Jewbase 3 with it, Jewbase later disbanding. They disbanded a couple months later on July 12, but many players who later became relevant can trace their roots to the Meerkats II.
