Faggot Dupe

Overview

The Faggot Dupe was, besides the Saving error dupe of September, likely the largest dupe on Oldfag. It started when on January 26th, DezzDox, Dainert, and Kokichiiii were sent a video about a forgotten dupe involving mobs in end portals. It originally started sometime before January when oldfag TheTroll2001 discovered this dupe, and posted an unlisted youtube video about it. When DezzDox discovered it he quickly got to duping along with Kokichiiii and Dainert. Originally bringing mobs through portals was patched on the new map, but the first to complain in July was GeNkRaZyKiLLeR when he got John to fix it, not knowing its duping potential.

Details

According to them they had 45 dubs of god gear, 1 dub of egaps, 1 dub of crystals, 1 dub of echests, and enough wither skulls for 600 withers. At first it was secret enough, no one suspecting they had a dupe, but Kokichiiii and Dezz would commit crucial mistakes, that would completely ruin this. Kokichiiii would casually show off by holding stacks of e gaps in front of people and sometimes even giving them out, clearly raising suspicion, and DezzDox would spawn hundreds of withers at spawn, even screenshots being posted on the subreddit. For what DezzDox claimed about his base, wither farm, and the speed it would take to farm withers, especially with the plugins that make farming them hard, it was logistically impossible for him to farm that many, and Gestimo realised this, alerting his closest base members about the issue. They would locate the origin of the dupe, but heavily doubted the validity of it, only Afdud thinking it was real, while it was considered that they used another dupe. Gestimo, Afdud, and GeNk would make a group chat with John and LolRiTTeR in an attempt to both prove to John the reality of this dupe and to discuss what to do with the server.

It would soon come to a shock when learnt by 6rl that Dainert chose to tell John about the dupe. Dainert was angered by DezzDox and Kokichiiii's constant bragging, only proving they had a dupe and ultimately the reason John was going to now start searching for a dupe, Dainert being the only one who kept it to himself and thus they ruined his chances at keeping it a complete secret as the Samarians and John200410 were committed to figuring it out. At this point Dainert and 6rl would be brought into the group chat and Gestimo, Namy_McNameface, GeNkRaZyKiLLeR, Afdud, Dainert, 6rl and the two Operators discussed how to approach the massive amount of duped items, not only from DezzDox and his basemates but possibly other players. They agreed with John that the ops should go about whitelisting the server, patching the dupe, and then rolling back specific chunks and playerdata where duped items were to before January 26th, but not anything else (ironically Kokichiiii was at first whitelisted due to help with the Saving error dupe). John200410 would bring back up the server about 12 hours later.
